I wanted to build a piece of furniture that combined my knowledge of woodworking and electronics as well as a piece that included a mix of materials, some of which would be new to me.
Beginning with some initial sketches, I produced a model in Solidworks, and rendered that model using KeyShot and Photoshop. Once I had the design drawings completed, I began with the toughest aspect of the project, speaker construction.
The entire project took approximately four months of random scraps of free time, the first two were spent tinkering and researching speaker construction. After I had finally completed the speaker pair, I began building the cabinet body. The following photographs and sketches are brief highlights from the project.
